MyPokerCaptain is a web app for running live poker tournaments: clock, blind structure, players and rebuys, seating and tables, payouts, cash desk and league. It works in the browser with nothing to install, and keeps running when the internet drops.
Is MyPokerCaptain free?
Yes, the Free plan costs nothing with no time limit: one active tournament, 9 players at one table in a Sit & Go, the clock and blind structure. Paid plans range from €7.99 to €47.99 per month, tax included, with a 14-day trial and no credit card.
Does MyPokerCaptain work on a Mac, a tablet or a phone?
Yes. It is a web app: it opens in the browser of a Windows PC, a Mac, a tablet or a phone. An installable Windows app is planned, but you do not need it.
How long does it take to set up a tournament?
About four minutes to set up a complete blind structure from a template (Deepstack, Turbo, Sit & Go, Satellite). A structure saved as a template can then be reused in one click.
Can MyPokerCaptain replace The Tournament Director?
MyPokerCaptain covers the clock, seating and table balancing, payouts, the cash desk, leagues and multi-day events. Unlike The Tournament Director, which installs on a Windows PC, it runs in the browser of any device, and offline. Importing Tournament Director files is planned, not available yet.
Can I run a tournament over several days?
Yes, with the Casino plan (€47.99 per month): Day 1 flights, bag & tag, Day 2 seat draw and final day, and a PDF report of each Day emailed to its players.
Do I need to install anything?
No. MyPokerCaptain runs in the browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. For the public screen, just plug a TV in via HDMI or open it on a smart TV.
What happens if the internet drops during a tournament?
The clock, eliminations and cash desk keep working offline. Everything syncs as soon as the connection comes back, with no data loss.
Is the 14-day trial really free?
Yes. No credit card is required. At the end of the trial, you choose a plan or stay on the free plan, without being billed automatically.
Can I bring over my existing structures?
Yes. Start from one of our templates — Deepstack, Turbo, Sit & Go, Satellite — or enter your structure level by level, then save it as a reusable template.
How many players and tournaments at once?
Up to 1 200 players per tournament. The free plan handles one active tournament; from Home Games up, tournaments are unlimited and up to 4 clocks can share a screen.
Can my players follow the tournament on their phone?
Yes: a QR code shown on the room screen opens live blinds, time remaining, standings and payouts, with no app to install.
Can I change plans or cancel at any time?
Yes. Upgrading is immediate, downgrading takes effect at the end of the period. Tournaments in progress are never interrupted.
Where is my data stored?
With a hosting provider located in the European Union, backed up continuously. You can export your club's entire history at any time.
